Foodie: A person who has an ardent or refined interest in food; a gourmet:"in the culinary fast lane, where surprises are expected and foodies beg to be thrilled" (Boston Globe).

I am part of the foodie community. While you can still enjoy great recipes on my site, I have been busy helping to build the Foodie Community Website. Please visit this new site where you can share your thoughts and ideas on cooking, wine, restaurants, and food in general. The site is still a work in progress, but the goal of the site is for fellow foodies to share their recipes, knowledge of cooking, restaurant reviews, and anything else food related you decide should be included.

At the moment, cooking is just a hobby of mine, but it's definitely a passion. A lot of my recipes are inspired from Cooking Light Magazine, different restaurants, and family and friends, but most have been modified based on my tastes and experiences.

Please browse the Recipes section for some of my favorites like Spinach and Mushroom Enchiladas, Tortellini Soup, and Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Merlot Shallot Sauce.

I will be adding daily content soon including cooking tips, wine and cheese info, menu planning, and favorite restaurants. I would also like to have a "Best Of" section that will include information on the different types of restaurant cuisine and atmosphere in the various places where I have lived, including Pittsburgh, Cape Cod, the Boston area, the New Hampshire Seacoast, and currently Washington, DC.

Thank you for the terrific website - just found it! Your info regarding Wasabi was exactly what we needed - friends gave us a small jar of Wasabi Powder and having used Wasabi paste for a few years we were not sure how to mix it. We love to make Wasabi Mayo, and also use wasabi in a few shrimp dishes like Wasabi Coconut Shrimp. Looking forward to trying your Wasabi Salmon recipe now. Thanks for all your help - we will come back, I just registered! Roberta
