- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12-ounces salmon steaks or fillets, skin removed
In a small saucepan, mix syrup, vinegar, orange juice and garlic. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes to reduce. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon olive oil. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Liberally brush maple glaze on salmon. Broil 4" – 5" from heat or cook on uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 5 minutes per ½" thickness. Turn, baste and cook until fish flakes easily with a fork.
